Male infertility on the rise in Vietnam A recent study showed a startling rise in the rate of infertility, especially in the young men in  Patients wait for fertility tests at Tu Du Hospital The study showed that more than 85% of the samples had low sperm counts and motility. Doctor Ho Manh Tuong, General Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Association (HOSREM), said the infertility rate is rather high and the number of infertile men is on the rise. Tu Du Hospital, in Doctor Hoang Thi Diem Tuyet, Deputy Director of Tu Du Hospital, said, “Recent statistics have shown that 30% of the infertility cases are due to men, 30% on woman, 30% on both sides and 10% is are for unknown reasons.” “There should be a careful study on the causes of this situation,” Ho Manh Tuong suggested.
