Local bank assets fall in January

According to the data, at the end of December 2013, the group of joint venture and foreign banks saw an asset growth of 26.92 per cent from the end of December 2012, marking an impressive figure compared to the previous years. Meanwhile, the total assets of the group of State-owned commercial banks last year increased by 13.77 per cent and that of the joint stock commercial banks by 14.8 per cent.
