HCM City will host the Asia - Pacific Conference of German Business (APK) on November 21-22, 2014. Germany is a major importer of Vietnam’s coffee and black pepper This would be the first time Vietnam has hosted such a conference. The event provides Vietnamese businesses with a chance to boost their trade ties with German and regional partners. With considerable economic growth rates over the past years, Vietnam’s popularity has grown with German businesses and it has become one of the most important partners of Germany in the Asia-Pacific region. Last year, Vietnam’s exports to Germany increased by 9.9% year on year and the country’s imports from the European country rose 27.7% on year. The trade conference has been held biennially since 1986. APK 13 was held in India’s New Delhi with the participation of 730 high-ranking delegates. APK is co-hosted by the delegates of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam, Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business, and German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. |
