At the invitation of President Truong Tan Sang, the Republic of Korea (RoK) President Park Geun Hye made a State-level visit to Vietnam from September 7 to 11. On September 9, the official welcome ceremony was solemnly held at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi. Also on September 9, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung met with RoK President Park Geun Hye. Earlier, in the afternoon of September 8, President Park Geun Hye attended the performance of Vietnamese ao dai and Korean Hanbok, held by the Korean Embassy in Vietnam. Ms. Park made a speech after the performances of the traditional costumes of Vietnam and RoK in Hanoi.  President Park Geun-hye and Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan on Tuesday watched the Ao dai-Hanbok fashion show in Hanoi.  Vietnam and RoK celebrated the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations last year. Ms. Park said the RoK government would further promote Vietnam – RoK relations in the future, based on the relationship that has developed over the past 20 years.
